HELP THE ANIMALS:
We like to donate to various wildlife charities each year. Here are a few to consider.
World Wildlife Fund: Donate + Protect Nature | World Wildlife Fund for a donation or consider a gift. One Christmas we adopted an animal via this link Support Wildlife and Protect Nature with WWFGifts which included a stuffed toy of each animal we chose for our two sons, and we also gifted my animal loving niece one year for her birthday.
We also like to donate to the Canadian Wildlife Federation to help protect the animals in the country we live in: Donation Form - Canadian Wildlife Federation
While researching for this updated Theme Day I found this site too: World Animal Protection Canada
Here is a longer video about reptiles, sharks, giraffs, horses, penguins, bats, dolphins, and foxes:
ANIMAL CLASSIFICATION CHART:

Animal endangerment is classified based on population decline:
Least Concern: Widespread and abundant population.
Near Threatened: May qualify as endangered in the near future.
Vulnerable Species: 30-50% population decline.
Endangered Species: 50-70% population decline.
Critically Endangered: 80-90+% population decline.
Extinct: No animals from this species are known to exist on Earth.
Print out a copy of my Animal Endangerment Chart and together as a family research nine animals to learn about their status in the world.

A big thank you to a library student named Ashley from Maine who wanted me to add a link about caring for fish in an aquarium. I couldn't get the specific link she found to work but I did find another link so I dedicate it to Ashley! How to Take Care of Your Fish (with Pictures) - wikiHow
